Kate Curtis, RM. RGN. Dip. AC., Lic. Ac (China), Dip. Ref, MTCMCI Kate Curtis with a background in nursing and midwifery, in the early 90’s began specializing in alternative methods of painrelief. In 1990 she qualified in Reflexology, and in 1994 she graduated with a Licentiate from The Acupuncture Foundation of Ireland College. Having completed a post graduate internship in one of the Traditional Chinese Medicine hospitals, she received a Diploma in Acupuncture from Nanjing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, China. She has trained extensively in different healing modalities including Qigong and Tuina qigong, Reiki, and Taichi Chuan, and currently continues ongoing training in Classical acupuncture, Celtic herbalism and Qigong. Using her experience in midwifery, Kate works closely with women in pregnancy and postnatally. Acupuncture proves highly effective in preparation for labour and during the birthing process. Kate’s specialiality lies in her ability to help a person get to the root of their pain. Her many specialities in energy healing and in her knowledge of western medicine, and midwifery, brings reassurrance to the people coming to her for healing. She brings also the values of empathy, integrity, and has learned to listen to silence. Her gift lies in her intuition, which facilitates her to be able to help bring to the surface the more deep and hidden issues, thereby allowing a person to heal from the deeper core level. Kate has in more recent years also been working with more emphasis on the psychological and spiritual aspect of the individual. This has led her to work more closely with the more ancient traditional systems of healing, incorporating different cultural philosophies, such as is found in the shamanic traditions of each country. She uses alongside the traditional Chinese medical form of acupuncture both esoteric and classical forms of acupuncture which assist the person in their quest for consciousness exploration and personal awareness.
James Cunnane, is the CEO of a group of successful retail and investment companies based in Dublin. In 1990 he trained in group facilitation and started working part-time, as an after-care facilitator for people recovering from alcohol and drug addiction. This progressed to facilitating groups for Adult Children of Alcoholics, and Men’s Groups. During this time, he became interested in the possibility of healing through ‘non-ordinary states of consciousness’, or altered states of consciousness. In 1994, he began training as a transpersonal therapist and holotropic breathwork facilitator, with Stanislov Grof MD. James has been facilitating Grof Holotropic Breathwork workshops since 1997. Through the course of his own inner journey work, he became interested in reawakening the celtic druidic traditions and purification rituals, and began leading celtic sweat lodges incorporating a 3 round system, symbolising the sun , the moon and the stars or male energy, female energy and astral energies. This ritual has evolved over the past 14 years, into what he now calls a ‘breath lodge’. James has been involved in an ancient Indian meditation practice for the past 20 years and has incorporated this in his way of working with people. The emphasis being on working with open heart energy. He brings the values of empathy, integrity, and has learned to listen to silence, and hear what is said in that place. His other strong gift is being able to hear peoples pain, and help bring it to the surface and thereby heal it. James works with the fundamental belief that we all have the ability to heal ourselves and endeavors in his work to hand that power back to the people who come to him for healing. As part of his own practice he goes on retreat each year to the Peruvian Jungle,to diet and purify, and to work with the shaman. He currently offers one to one transpersonal and deep process sessions. Also he is currently working in a mens process group, in Dublin.
Meri Axinn was fascinated by spiritual traditions from an early age. She has spent her life studying Buddhism, Hinduism, Neopaganism, Western Esoteric Traditions, and ancient and modern Kabbalah, in addition to Astrology. She practices meditation and Kundalini yoga. A photographer for many years, she has a University degree in Art History. Meri’s studies covered Chaldean, Medieval, Renaissance, Modern, Vedic and Kabbalistic Astrology. She is certified by NCGR, the US’s leading Astrological organization and owned a metaphysical bookstore. Her thirty-five year practice – reading, classes and workshops – is international, throughout the US, Italy, Ireland, England and India. Meri believes Astrology is transformative and healing. Belief in free will and the power of Divine forces can alter unfavorable conditions. The importance is the understanding people gain concerning their life circumstances, past and present. Guidance for the future helps clarify possibilities and choices through insight into the astrological energies. It is synchronistic – as above, so below – and the configurations and movements of the planets and stars serve as a map. Meri focuses on daily issues, questions, career path, relocation, relationship dynamics, and the esoteric – karmic patterns, past life threads, higher spiritual intention and purpose in life. She can be reached at 38meri@gmail.com or Cooper Station, PO Box 107, New York, NY 10276, USA, and is available through Skype, telephone or travel. |
